Book a demo
A demo of the Chemical Register is a working conversation with someone from Box 4, using a read-only demo organisation with sample stock. We will set it up to resemble your kind of establishment, so that a school technician sees a prep room and a lab manager sees a department.

What we will cover
For a school or college, the usual starting point is the spreadsheet you have now. We will walk through importing a list, what a stock check looks like on a phone, and how you would produce the documents a head of science or a fire officer might ask to see.
For a multi-academy trust, the interest tends to lie in what the trust sees across its schools, and in how one invoice can work for a group of sites.
For a university or research department, we will look at multi-lab locations, principal investigator ownership and approvals, and at what happens to a group's stock when it leaves.
For a hospital or pathology department, we will look at departmental registers, HTM 07-01 waste streams and the consignment note archive.
Who should attend
The person who looks after the store gets the most out of a demo, because they will spot where the screens do not match the work. If you can also bring whoever deals with budgets or data protection, that helps. They will have different questions, and it saves arranging a second conversation.
Bring the awkward cases. An old stock list with odd abbreviations is more useful to us both than a tidy example. So is that shelf nobody wants to deal with.
What we will be straight about
We will be clear about what the register does not do, and about anything on the security page that may matter to you. Prices are the published ones. You will not be pressed for a decision, and there is no offer that ends at the close of the call.
If you would prefer to look around by yourself first, start free.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the working application?
Yes. A demo uses a read-only organisation with sample stock, so you see the real screens and nothing you do changes any data.
Can our technician and our business manager both attend?
Yes, and we would encourage it. They usually want to see different things.
